Ocean Outdoor experiential mockup work and animation

Working with the sales team of Ocean Outdoor I was tasked with answering briefs from their top global clients in order to supply them with a creative way to advertise their latest campaigns on digital screens, landmarks and experiential areas. From idea concept through to mock up creation, the adverts featured here are just a handful of the outdoor campaigns I helped come to life.

Prada wanted to change up their outdoor advertising strategy. They asked for dynamic, innovative yet subtle ideas to target their audience instead of the standard static adverts. The idea I came up with was to use Lookout technology in order to pinpoint their different target audiences by designing an animation using their current campaigns. Here, if the majority of passers by were female then the screen would start to fill up with flowers over the top of the campaign prior to Prada. The flowers would then gradually start to fall less and less in order to reveal the Candy Florale campaign.

Creative agency BBH sent over the new creatives for the Audi R8. Audi had requested to see what could be done creatively in order to emphasise the message they were trying portray in the pictures. For this, I animated particular elements of each creative with subtle motion; pulsating clouds and blue light movement, changing colours of wires and flickering red lights on the far left.

Using Prada’s Luna Rossa campaign, the same concept was applied as used with the Candy Florale campaign. However, if the majority of passers by were male then the screen would start to fill up with water over the top of the campaign prior to Prada. The water would then gradually slide away to reveal the Luna Rossa campaign.

Chanel wanted to show somehow that their latest foundation lasted from day to night . The idea I had was to takeover one of Ocean Outdoor digital screens throughout the day. A Chanel model wearing the foundation would be seen but as the day went on, her makeup would change to suit the time of day. Eventually, she would have a full face of makeup to suit a night time look.

Luxury collection

I was tasked with creating an engaging montage of the luxury campaigns Ocean Outdoor showcased on their digital screens and billboards. The purpose was to present within future meetings for the sales team’s clients.

Taking current film shots that had been taken of some of the sites and mocked up the campaigns into the film helped create this. Combining these with the current photography taken, along with clips of the campaigns helped break up some of reel and provide a smooth transition between shots.

Animating the Ocean Outdoor logo, the intro and outro, combined with perfect timing of each shot to a soundtrack completed the finishing touches.
